Ghost Ship is a roots-rock band that writes music about Jesus. Their name comes from believers being vessels of the Holy Spirit (Ghost). They lead the worship gatherings at Mars Hill Downtown Seattle and have also been playing benefit shows at clubs in Seattle to raise money to fight sex-trafficking in the city. Ghost Ship is led by Cam Huxford who is the worship director at Mars Hill Downtown Seattle. He moved to Seattle from Georgia four years ago with two goals: use music to point to Jesus and call people to respond to Jesus.

A River with No End is Ghost Ship's first EP, and on it they use banjos, dobros, pedal steels, and anything else they can get their hands on to create a rootsy-Americana texture. The EP opens powerfully proclaiming, "There is one God over all kings and rulers, and he reigns alone." From there, the songs continue to exalt Jesus as our King and Savior today while looking also to the future when every tear will be wiped away and death will be no more.

Track Name: One God
Prophets proclaimed to our fathers long ago
To turn from your statues and your idols made of gold

Rise from your knees, stop worshiping
The splinters of broken gods, turn and see your King

There is one God over all kings and rulers
And He reigns alone

Now we proclaim the same God, the same Word
Who stood through the ages, Jesus Christ the Lord

Rise from your knees, stop worshiping
The splinters of broken gods, turn and see your King

There is one God over all kings and rulers
And he reigns alone

Burn them all down, my God, my God

There is one God over all kings and rulers
And he reigns alone

And the one God over all kings and rulers
Will not share his throne
Track Name: The Revelation of Jesus Christ
I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first had passed away
I saw a new city, Jerusalem; a bride on her wedding day
I heard a loud voice from the throne saying,
“look at the dwelling place of God”
He will dwell with them, they will be his people, and He will be their God

Wipe away every tear from our eyes
Death will be no more

And he who is seated on the throne, said “I am making all things new”
He said “It is finished, hear these words, they are trustworthy and true”
He is the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end
And to the thirsty he will give water, from a river with no end

Wipe away every tear from our eyes
Death will be no more

All this mourning, all this crying
All this death we’ve seen, all these broken things...
...will end, all our pain
All this death we’ve seen, all the former things
...will end

And I saw no the temple in this new city
It’s temple is Jesus Christ our Lord
And this bright city has no need for sun
Only the glory of our God
Track Name: Just As I Am
Just as I am, without one plea
But that your blood was shed for me
And that Thou bidst me come to thee

Lamb of God, I come, I come
Lamb of God, I come

Just as I am, and waiting not
To rid my soul of one dark blot
To You whose blood can cleanse each spot

Just as I am, though tossed about
With many conflicts, many doubts
Fights and fears within, without

Just as I am, wretched, blind, Sight and healing of the mind, Yeah, all I need, in You I’ll find

Just as I am, You will receive
Will welcome, pardon, cleanse, relieve
Because Your promise I believe
Track Name: Poison Tree (Bonus Song)
This tree bears strange fruit
Blood on the leaves, it's dead at the roots
The cracked grey branches are decaying within
Just like the black poison that hangs from it's limbs

Come and dig me up, reach down to the roots
Rip the deadness out, and plant something new
I am alive, I will abide
In the life giving blood of Christ

I tried to tie good fruit
To a tree that had poison all the way through
It rotted and fell off, it was dead at the core
It even killed the ground, I was worse than before

I am alive, I will abide
In the life giving blood of Christ
I'm grafted in, You've killed my sin
Now I can live, I'll live in him

Come and dig me up, reach down to the roots
Rip the deadness out..
